Editing

Day 1: This day we uploaded all of our footage to the mac's. We started taking out bits from our footage that we wanted to upload for our music video. We then positioned them in what we wanted our music video to look like, with our opening shot of our artist 'Lily Norman' walking towards the camera.

Day 2: From taking bits out of our footage, we then tweaked them so they would fit in, with shots not being longer than 4 seconds as this would not catch the audiences attention. We uploaded our music to our footage and fitted in shots and transitions where the beat is. We also used fast cut montage to catch the audiences attention, and make the music video more interesting.

Day 3: From our footage, we had shots of our artist lip syncing, we edited it so she was miming at the same time as the music. This was a bit tricky, but when we filmed her lip syncing she sang out loud so it made it easier matching it to the music. We added transitions and clip effects to make it look like a music video. We used soft transitions as it went with the genre of music.

Day 4: We added the rest of our footage with some still pictures. We then added more transitions and more lip syncing.

Day 5: This was our final day of editing, we had a bit of trouble as we wanted to add more transitions in to make the shots more softer to go with the genre of music, but when we were doing this we had to take out delete some of our shots so that our lip syncing was not affected, we added more transitions and editing effects, like jump cutting, fst cut montage and colourisation, on one of our clips our artist is walking through the woods, and we jump cutted the shot on the beat and added over exposure, this gave the shot a good effect and looked like it was from a real music video.
