Corrine Bailey Rae gave me inspiration into my design for my CD cover, her genre of music is the same as our artist. In Corrine's album cover she uses the same colours as we have, these are earthy colours, she also used a picture of what looks like a woods, with tree's and leaves. We have also used this in our CD cover. The font is not the same as ours, but the colour of the font is, with the our artist name in bigger font than the album cover, this is because we want to sell our artist through her own name and brading, as Corrine Bailey Rae does too.

There is not industry information on the front of her CD cover, we have chosen to use this idea as well, as we want the artist to sell herself and not the record company. We will include the record company and other industry information on the back of the album, this is where you would normally find this information on other Cd's. The layout of the CD is kind of the same to our CD cover, as if focuses on the artist and not anything else. We have used a image of our artist walking towards the camera, which i think will draw the audiences attention because the artist is focusing on the audience. The name of this album is 'The Sea' which is quite controversial as there is not correspondence to the sea or anything that is normally associated with the sea. I thought at first glance that she looked like a mermaid, but then i looked closer and it looks like she is supposed to be an angel of some sort, i dont some research into this album and found out it was released because of her loosing her husband 'Jason Rae'. Her looking like an angel in the photo could be that she wants to go and see her husband in heaven, or she is trying to contact him through her music.
