3 types of music video

There are 3 types of music video's, a narrative based, a performance based and a concept based.

Narrative Based-a narrative based video is where the video tells a story, an example of this is Lady Ga Ga's "Bad Romance".

Performance Based-a performance based video is where you see the entire band in the music video the whole time, an example of this is Green Day's "American Idiot"

Concept Based- this is where the video doesn't follow a story line, and they band/artist is not seen playing in the video, an example of this is OKGo's 'Here it goes again'.

Introduction

This blog will be used to post my A2 media studies work, to include one main task and two ancillary tasks. This will be a promotional package for the release of an album. I will be making a music video a CD cover and a magazine advertisement promoting my music video.
